Spinal Decompression May be The Answer To Your Prayers
You are tired of taking pills, getting pain injections, and having the constant threat of back surgery! You are probably thinking that life should not be this way? This is the time in life I call a reality check. If you keep doing the same thing, you will get the same results!
I am no longer an Ordained Minister, but I can tell you the verdict is in. In 24 years of being a Chiropractic Physician, I have not seen the results in dealing with chronic pain that I am getting with Spinal Decompression!! It is F.D.A. approved, non-surgical, and the “Big” guys at the Mayo Clinic love it!!
How does Spinal Decompression work?
Spinal Decompression provides relief to severe back and neck pain sufferers by gently reducing the pressure within spinal discs. The bones of the spine are slowly and methodically separated using the state-of-the-art DYNA PRO Spinal Decompression Unit. As the vertebrae are separated pressure is slowly reduced within the disc (intradiscal pressure) until a vacuum is formed. This vacuum “sucks” the gelatinous center of the disc back inside thereby reducing the disc bulge or disc herniation. Significant disc bulge reduction pressure off the spinal nerves and drastically reduces pain and disability. This “sucking” vacuum also pulls much-needed oxygen, nutrients and fluid into injured and degenerated discs allowing the healing to begin.

Subluxation Complex
A subluxation occurs when a joint is knocked out of alignment. This can affect the function of nerves, and have a profound affect on the body’s organs and health.
Your spine consists of 24 bones that are separated by cushions made of cartilage. Nerves pass out from the sides of each vertebra. These nerves supply energy to tissues and organs of the body. If the vertebra becomes misaligned, nerve flow to the body is diminished. This can result in pain and lead the body into a disease process.
The Doctor of Chiropractic will perform an Examination and Consultation to determine if “Subluxations” are present in your body. If subluxations are detected, you will be accepted as a Chiropractic patient.
The treatment of subluxations involves an adjustment of the spine manually. The adjustments are relatively painless and help free up nerve impulses to the body. This will allow the brain to communicate with the body and vise versa. The power that made the body can heal the body.

Keep the Kids Safe Part I
Teach your child to listen to their pain.
Athletes, whether professional or in grade school, place a tremendous amount of stress on their bodies. The running, jumping, tackling and falling that is a fairly frequent part of many competitive sports tend to result in sprains, strains and chronic injuries. These injuries can sideline an athlete and cause considerable pain, typically for only days, but sometimes for months or even longer.
The concept of pain should be taught to children as an important warning signal from the body that something is wrong and should be checked out. Taking prescription or over-the-counter pain relievers essentially masks the warning signal, which means children will tend to overextend themselves, resulting in a worsening of the underlying problem. This is why forward-thinking coaches, athletes and doctors (and parents) have come to realize that painkillers are not the answer. Painkillers merely cover up the pain and deceive the athlete into believing that they can do more than they actually should.

Gout in men Vitamin C lowers risk and may prevent gout
Gout is a type of arthritis that occurs when excess uric acid – a natural compound in the body – builds up in the blood. In a 20-year study of about 47,000 men, those who consumed over 1,500 mg of vitamin C per day from all sources were nearly half as likely to have gout as were men who got less than 250 mg per day.
In gout, excess uric acid forms sharp, needle-like crystalline deposits in the joints, causing inflammation and pain. Doctors believe vitamin C may help the kidneys excrete excess uric acid and may keep excess uric acid from forming.

STRESS FRACTURE SYNOPSIS
How Stress Fractures Develop
1. Casual event
2. Pain after exercise only and relieved by short rest
3. Pain tolerable during exercise but more marked after exertion and relieved by longer rest
4. Pain intolerable during and after exercise and partially relieved by long rest
5. Constant pain not relieved by rest
Signs of Stress Fractures
1. Point tenderness of bone (except well-shielded femur)
2. Soft-tissue swelling
3. Palpation of callus (with time)
4. Alteration of gait
5. Muscular atrophy, especially anterior tibial and gastrocnemius-soleus groups
6. Full and painless range of motion of adjacent joints
7. Painless resisted active movement of joint
Treatment of Stress Fractures
1. Rest from running
2. Relieve symptomatic inflammation with ice and anti-inflammatory agent
3. Maintain strength (especially foot dorsum and plantar flexors)
4. Maintain cardiovascular fitness with swimming and/or biking
5. Orthotics tailored to need
6. When asymptomatic, gradually reintroduce running

Fear and Chiropractic?
What are you afraid of? What moves you out of your comfort zone? For some it might be the fear of heights, the sight of clowns, or maybe a visit to the Chiropractor?
Wait a minute? Aren’t those Chiropractor guys – Doctors? Yes, actually they are! A Chiropractor’s education is similar in length to that of a M.D., about 7-8 years. They must pass State and National Board exams, before earning the title “Doctor of Chiropractic.”
O.K., we now know that they are Doctors. But I heard that the treatments can cause strokes? This is referred to as a Cerebral Vascular Accident. It occurs about once every 6-8 million treatments. In the United States, about 100,000 people die every year from medicine prescribed from their M.D. C.V.A. is not something to be taken lightly, but a very thorough exam performed by your chiropractor can rule out those that are at risk for a stroke.
I heard that the treatments can be painful? A light precise Chiropractic adjustment generally is pain free. There are cases when inflammation and muscle spasms are present. This is where most chiropractors will do some type of therapy to help loosen up the area, before an adjustment is performed.
In our Chiropractic Clinic we provide Instrument Adjustments. This is a hand held apparatus that is very light in thrust, but it works as well as a hand done adjustment. With instrument adjustments you don’t hear the popping sound that is typical of a hands on treatment. They both work great, and it gets down to your personal preference.
Isn’t it true that once you start treating with a Chiropractor that you always have to keep treating? Chiropractic care can be equated to working out. Once you get in shape, it is not a good idea to quit. Why, because all your gains will slowly go away. After your spine has been stabilized, your chiropractor will put you on a maintenance type schedule to help keep you in an optimal state of health. This is usually a spinal check up about every 4-6 weeks. Keeping the spine in proper alignment can help prevent many age related mishaps. Remember – the nervous system controls every function in your body. Chiropractors are Doctors of the nervous system.
How can I find a Chiropractor that I will be comfortable with? Ask around – talk to friends, neighbors, family members, that are very happy with their Chiropractor. The internet is great, because you can find out all the information you want! We provide a FREE first time consultation. You can meet the Doctor, see the office, and meet the staff. Our office is open, no little windows to slide information into! We will discuss your needs, and I will internalize all your info, and do my “Best” to create a Health Regiment that will help you reach all your health goals. I realize this is a very personal and important decision in your life! I have been a Chiropractor for 24 years, and I still have patients from my first day. I will not take your health lightly!

Depression causes are vast. It can be brought on by stress, improper food intake, allergies and sugar. Lack of sunlight in the winter months can also trigger depression. Research has shown that two hours of a.m. sun is great towards alleviating depression.
