A Ten-Cent Idea
The boss agreed, and the idea was a resounding success. This inspired Woolworth to open his own store and price items at a nickel and a dime. He needed capital for such a venture, so he asked his boss to supply the capital for part interest in the store.
His boss turned him down flat. "The idea is too risky," he told Woolworth. "There are not enough items to sell for five and ten cents." Woolworth went ahead without his boss's backing, and he not only was successful in his first store, but eventually he owned a chain of F. W. Woolworth stores across the nation. Later, his former boss was heard to remark, "As far as I can figure out, every word I used to turn Woolworth down cost me about a million dollars."

Headaches and Nutrition
Low blood sugar from not enough protein in the meal
or in the diet causes headaches.
Many people believe that it’s not a good idea to eat red meat, so they eliminate it from their diet. Grass-fed red meat is an excellent source of nutrients, including omega-3 fats that prevent headaches! The problem is that when many people eat less meat, they don’t substitute other protein foods for the red meat. Other protein foods include fish, chicken, turkey, wild meats, eggs, cheese and dairy products.
If you don’t have enough protein in a meal, your body cannot repair itself. Without enough protein in a meal, the composition of that meal is primarily carbohydrates and fat. And we already know what too many carbohydrates in a meal can do: cause a headache!
Make sure you eat some form of protein at every meal. Even adding one or two eggs for breakfast can change your life and your headaches! See how good your day goes when you have enough protein! Eat at least three ounces (about the size of a computer mouse) at each meal and you’ll have the minimum amount you need each day.

Fibromyalgia X
I Don’t Fit In Those Categories…
Q: If I never had an injury to my neck or cervical spine or the other two reasons, how is it possible that I have fibromyalgia?
A: It’s possible that you may have had an injury that you don’t recall because you were too young. It’s possible that there are other causes for the disorder as well.
Some researchers blame bacteria or viruses for triggering fibromyalgia while others state that metabolic or hormonal changes, especially in thyroid hormone are the cause.
Others believe that changes or abnormalities in the sympathetic nervous system, the part of the nervous system that helps us deal with extreme stress and survival situations are behind the real cause of fibromyalgia. No one really knows for sure.
There are some studies that show that fibromyalgia sufferers are more sensitive to pain signals in the brain. This causes higher levels of neutrotransmitters that are created in the brain. With higher levels of neurotransmitters, the least little trigger to the pain receptors such as a touch of the forearm can cause pain.

How To Prevent Neck Pain
1. Keep your neck and shoulders warm when traveling on an airplane. This will prevent muscle stiffness.
2. Position your computer monitor at eye level.
3. Do not sleep on your stomach. This increases stress to the neck.
4. If you sleep on your side, put a small pillow between your knees.
5. Take frequent breaks from your computer desk.
6. Stretch your neck slowly on a daily basis. Hold your stretches about 10 seconds.
7. Look up at the sky or ceiling a few times per day to help stretch the neck.
8. Maintain proper neck alignment by being checked by your chiropractor on a monthly basis.

Golfers….want to improve your golf game?
Are you a golfer but back pain is keeping you from your game? Low back and neck pain are main reasons that golfers cannot play or play at their best. When you’re injured it is hard to play your best game! We have the answer to your problem. The procedure is Spinal Decompression Therapy (also known as Spinal Decompression or SD). SD is a non-surgical therapy proven to treat back pain with significant results. Over a series of relaxing treatment sessions, patients experience powerful pain reduction and healing. Some patients even notice an improvement in their symptoms after the first few treatments. Patients enjoy lasting results, a four year study on the lasting effects of Spinal Decompression showed remarkable levels of sustained relief from back pain in patients that had undergone therapy. 71% showed more than 50% reduction in pain immediately after treatment. 52% of respondents reported a pain level of zero. Average pain levels were reduced from 7.41 to 1.57 Employment status increased by 40% among those previously out of work due to back pain. We have treated many patients with conditions ranging from golf injuries, back pain, and neck pain. My clinic uses Spinal Decompression to help patients who have had little success with other treatments. This FDA approved Spinal Decompression has been the most important medical advance in the non-surgical, non-invasive treatment of back pain in the last ten years. For anyone that lives in the Southern California area, I do offer a NO COST exam that determines if Spinal Decompression can help you. If anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me at this blog. My name is Dr. Bob Moulas D.C…..I have been practicing in Orange California for over 24 years. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corp., I attended Fullerton College, and later studied at Cleveland Chiropractic College. I believe in a personal interaction with my patients, and I have a genuine concern for your well-being and long term health.

What Doctors Do To Get Out Of Pain
How Does Spinal Decompression Work?
Spinal Decompression provides relief to severe back and neck pain sufferers by gently reducing the pressure within spinal discs. The bones of the spine are slowly and methodically separated using the state-of-the-art DYNA PRO Spinal Decompression Unit. As the vertebrae are separated pressure is slowly reduced within the disc (intradiscal pressure) until a vacuum is formed. This vacuum “sucks” the gelatinous center of the disc back inside thereby reducing the disc bulge or disc herniation. Significant disc bulge reduction removes pressure off the spinal nerves and drastically reduces pain and disability. This “sucking” vacuum also pulls much-needed oxygen, nutrients and fluid into injured and degenerated discs allowing the healing to begin.
The treatment motion is computer controlled to provide gentle and painless decompression of the injured spinal discs. Advanced DYNA PRO decompression techniques separate slowly and cycle between brief moments of pulling and relaxing (oscillation). This reduces protective muscle spasm that contributed to the poor success rate of outdated “traction” techniques.
How Do Spinal Discs Become Injured?
Over time gravity, spinal joint dysfunction and accumulated trauma cause the discs to compress, flatten and degenerate. Significant disc damage can become a tear called a disc herniation. The “jelly center” of the disc can also dry out over time which is referred to as degenerative disc disease. All forms of disc injury can eventually impinge on the nerves exiting the spine (“pinched nerve”) which can create numbness, tingling, burning or sharp pain down the arms or legs. Sharp pain originating from the back and “shooting” down the legs is often referred to as sciatica. The only treatment that can reverse this degenerative compression is NON-SURGICAL SPINAL DECOMPRESSION or THE DYNA PRO!
Spinal Decompression Can Treat The Following Conditions
· Sciatica
· Neck Disc Bulge
· Herniated Disc-Back
· Herniated Disc-Neck
· Pinched Nerve
· Degenerative Disc Disease
