Selenium For Your Heart and Aging

Selenium is a mineral that works with Vitamin E to help slow down the aging process. This mineral helps keep the heart healthy, and may prevent heart attacks. Selenium also battles viruses and prevents cataracts. It has been considered one of the top free radical scavengers.

Whole grains, lobster, clams, cooked oysters and brazil nuts are all excellent sources of selenium.

The daily recommended allowance for selenium is 200 mcg.
