Avoid A Personal Attack

1. Do not display expensive items of clothing or jewelry.

2. Do not use short cuts across wasteland, through underground walkways, along canal paths or through car parks at night.

3. Do not appear nervous, keep your head up and appear confident.

4. Avoid eye to eye contact with strangers as you pass, though still attempt to assess their intentions.

5. Do not let anyone who approaches you get within arm’s length.

6. Only cross the road if you see a group of people approaching you.

  2. I pretty much do most of these. How can you avoid wearing jewelry, if you can't get your rings off? Plus I enjoy wearing it.

  4. Hi Candy,
Curl your hands or pull your hands into your sleeve if possible. There are alot of good self defense classes available. Contact your local Police Dept. for more information.
    Thank you,

  6. Hi Danielle,
Ha! Sorry!! You just need to be aware of what is going on around you. Don't ignore anything that just doesn't feel right. Have a great weekend!
    Sincerely,
